The graphics were great, But as also the 2003 video, it sounds like a spoof, piled over with that it looks like a spoof.
This makes me a bit questioned, I wonder, the game is so original but those two videos not only seem to leach off of LOTR and The Matrix but they seem like childish remakes.
Im only stating my opinian, but they are embarising to watch, even when there are no people around.
However the 2004 and 2005 were very good!

Very, very nice. I just viewed it for the fifth time (in 20 minutes :P ) and it's still impressive. The characters move so fluently and freely, really like in a movie. And yes, I am aware of the fact that you can't dualwield or fake something while summoning a spell.....
I'm really doubting about playing a fem ele. This movie doesn't help at all: first the armor (what armor ) and now the moaning during casting.

I think if dual wield is implemented it needs to be part of a new assasin type profession.

Wow....just....wow
Ok, Arenanet, new idea.
Invest in the movie industry and make that a full length film! That was the best CG movie I've ever seen, but it's too short!
Eh, eh....think about it I think everyone here would see it in a heart beat :P
*EDIT* Or how about another one showing a Necromancer?

I agree with Spooky. Dual Weilding would feel tacked on, so dedicating a character class that specializes in it or something, would make more sense.
However, I really hope they don't add "assassin"-esque characters. Seriously, I love a ninja as much as the next guy, but it's the last thing I'd want to see in Guild Wars. Sure, we already have warriors, rangers, spellcasters, necromancers... I mean, nothing too original here, but I do like their implementation. An assassin character in an expansion would feel like they were just /kneeling to kiddies, personally, as opposed to an original design idea.
I'd rather see a character who uses 2 weapons at once be something like, say a Fanatic... like a character along the lines of tribal, heathen god, worshipper. Drawing from a style like that seen in the Bone Shield, or the Ram's Hammer. I dunno, I'm pulling at nothing here, but maybe the typical "Fast at the expense of armour" type character. We already have warriors, sure, but I see plenty of parallel characters like the Mesmer/Elementalist/Necro... all magic users. Only 1 strictly melee character. Not sure if that was totally coherent, but whatever.
Who knows... I'm just not a big fan of a ninja/assassin character for Guild Wars.

You know, the NPCs that were in the Cinematic had better armour in-game then us. How sad
On the side note, the elementalist was Cynn, warrior was Devona, and the ranger was the Duke guy in Fort Ranik.
I liked the cinematic for the cinematics sake, but it also gives a false picture to those who have not seen Guild Wars. And while your going to sucker in some people, your going to get the same feedback from the more experienced crowd taking the Blizzard path, that the cinematic is not even close to the real thing.
But it was a good cinematic for the cinematics sake. The voice acting was average, acceptable but nothing close to what Blizzard can buy, but more like what the starcraft modding community has grown to be. Those three characters have nearly nothing to do with the story, and all three of them are never seen after the searing, unless they are hiding somewhere.
The only gripe I have with this is that it overemphasizes the story, something the game in beta has currently not shown to be a strong point.
Overall though, nice job.

Isn't everyone? Granted, I haven't been keeping the kind of notes I should, but I swear I've bumped into just about everyone from KoA in RoA, usually hanging around in places like the Sanitarium, or somewhere in the explorable areas...

You see guys like warmaster tydus and prince rurik obviously. But not those three, at least in the main city or anywhere that's linear like the missions. You'd probably have to find them, if their still alive. The cinematic is just to go OoOoO like the WoW cinematic. Has no real value other then coolness.
